AFTERMATH designed and animated the interface for Past, Present & Future, an installation in a prominent space of the Viacom building at 1515 Broadway. The piece pairs an interactive screen with custom-built dioramas of key moments in Viacom’s history, each set in its own shadow-box room and lit on its own.
The interface is built as an animated timeline rather than a menu. A visitor moves between eras and picks a moment, and the animation that follows carries them to the diorama it belongs to — the screen sends them somewhere instead of showing them something.
